Have you downloaded one of our forms only to receive a prompt to Select a program to open the file? There is an easy fix built in to Dealer Solutions Software:
- Go to the very top menu bar and click TOOLS.
- Click RESCAN FORMS
- Click NO when it prompts you to rescan forms. What this does is reassociates the form program with the file you downloaded.
- Now reopen the downloaded for you were having trouble with and it should then work.
This issue usually arises for new software downloaders or after a Windows Update has been done. If you know how to tell a file to “always open using this program” you can do so. Assign .DFP file extensions to use the FRMINST.exe program located in your Dealer Solutions Software base folder. (ie. C:\users\public\Dealer Solutions\forminst.exe)
