Database Corruption Fix

Beginning with Windows 10 Spring Creators Update, Microsoft has disabled SMBv1 by default.  Unfortunately, this has caused near constant database corruption issues for some users! Microsoft has suggested a fix for such issues which includes a simple registry entry to disable the feature most likely to be causing the problems.

Make the following change on your server computer and reboot for it to take effect
  • Scroll to the bottom of this page and download  Run the .reg file inside the zip archive, then reboot.

    or, set the following manually
  • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters]
    (Create this entry as a 32-bit DWORD if it does not exist)

If you still have issues, it is possible to re-enable SMBv1.  This should only be done as a last resort! This is slightly more complicated and may require the assistance of support:
