Once you have a PDF printer in place, it's quite easy to get Dealer Solutions to offer it up as an option.
- Go the HOME screen of Dealer Solutions
- Click on the PRINT CENTER option in the GETTING STARTED menu
- Find the Default Printers section
- Check the box that reads Always ask for printer just before printing
That's it! Now, when you go to print forms or reports, it will pop up a box asking to which printer you want to print. All you need to do is choose "PDF Printer", "PrimoPDF", or your PDF printer of choice and it will start the print, followed by a SAVE AS box asking where you want to save the file. If it's important, we suggest saving it to your Documents folder in a meaningful sub-folder, such as "Year-End Reports 2015" or "2016-01-02 - Hofferman Deal", or maybe "Stock #4368". Proper filing, even virtually, can save you a lot of time. Also consider saving all files to a Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive folder for extra protection against computer mishaps!
